So I did a group presentation for uni tonight, and we went pretty awesome, so to celebrate here is some more Melbourne reminiscing.
Day four was super windy in the morning as we walked up Gertrude St to the museum to see the Tutankhamun exhibit. However when we returned to the outside, after viewing the rest of the museum (which was awesome -better than Brisbane's), it was freezing, and pouring rain. We ran to the closest cafe on Gertrude St and had a yummy lunch, looked a few shops as the rain eased up, then caught the train to the Fitzroy Gardens. Although I had imagined visiting them while the sun was out, I was running out of time to visit it. The gardens were beautiful anyway!
We then walked to the city to visit a secondhand book store, and while we were in there we could hear the thunder beginning to boom outside.. We caught the tram and ran in the rain back to the apartment and got soaking wet. Pizza was eaten on the couch for dinner! :)
The Exhibition Building (next to the Museum, in the Carlton Gardens that are World Heritage listed), I was disappointed it was raining because I had really wanted to see the wonderful fountain on the otherside of the exhibiton building.
Inside the awesome Museum.
Just a super pretty fence/house/bush.
Photos in Fitzroy Gardens.
Flowers!
Little pink petals on the ground.
Cool trees, again.
