Although I missed one of the amazing Carnival of Flowers in Toowoomba, I did have a pretty awesome weekend. Saturday we spent the morning in the city, something I rarely do. Spent forever in Allan's Music as Jean looked for mandolin music and striked up conversation with an Irish bloke. So I wandered around looking interested and found a Hannah Montana music book for the Flute.. Bought more tea at T2, and a new mug at Typo. Then dropped into my local Salvos for their "Supa sale" which wasn't that super, but I did get a few things.

On Sunday, after a "picnic" on my lounge room floor with Chacuterie and screening of Benchwarmers. The smoky haze that filled Brisbane all weekend meant lovely afternoon light perfect for some photos in the park.

Still the smoke is lingering today, and I found myself looking at the most gorgeous red sun in the bus to uni. Unfortunately, the bus is no place to be taking photographs from, so I cannot share how pretty it was!

My formal was nothing short of awesome, so I was super excited when it came to that time for my brother on Friday! I got the evening off work to take photos.

I can't wait till one day I have money that I can spend on collectables and antiques.. I would love a massive collection of old cameras, but as a student it just isn't reasonable. Photos of some pretty old things will have to do!

I have to say I am quite a shy photographer and I feel a bit naughty taking photos in shops, so I did not take many..

This past weekend.

Spent another weekend playing the role of band photographer/supportive girlfriend for Jean and his band We the ghosts.

I went along to a gig at the Music Kafe on Saturday night (the manager love having them there). Got about 5 hours sleep, and was up at 4.30 am to go to the Bridge to Brisbane. Not to run, but to film/photograph the band. Had breakfast from Macca's (was impressed by their chocolate croissants) and they played from 6.30 am to 10.30 am.

I was very impressed by all the people who ran the marathon- I would never be able to do that.

It was rather interesting seeing all the outfits people wore while running/walking. Examples include Austin Powers, Spiderman, Where's Wally, Stitch (from Lilo&Stitch), Captain America, and Stormtroopers.

I have been awake since 4.30 am! I want this right now -Bed! I have lots of photos from today that I will show you later; they should explain the early start.

Can't wait till my mini break in a few weeks... I need an escape from my assignments.
