All I've got is an afternoon .... Second Round

Back in February I took some photos of  lovely girl called Isabel; I loved the photos but never spent much time editing them and ended up posting them when they weren't their best. I have now re-edited the contrast and colour, along with some black and white conversions and cropping where appropriate! The photos are now better than ever and I feel I should share the images again -in their new and improved form.

Brisbane can often be beautiful when you pay it some attention. You should know that I judge a city by its number of beautiful old buildings.

A trip to Tamborine

With the boy away for the weekend, I took the opportunity to invite Brittney to Mt Tamborine with the intention to do a bit of location scouting, and make a date out of it with lunch at Gallery Walk.  We walked about the Mt Tamborine Botanical Gardens with our umbrellas and cameras, and I taught Britt a few tips, since a Dslr is fairly new to her. It was a good girly-bonding day, which I doubt we have had since we finished school.

I am excited to hopefully be doing a shoot tin the gardens near the end of the month -I am hoping the leaves on the Liquidambar's will be orange by then.

Lately...

Lately:
I started my final year of unversity.
I have started an internship with a PR firm.
I have shot a black swan/white swan shoot with The Origin of Beauty and Mary Hecker.
I have photographed two out of three looks for a Jewellery lookbook. The third look to be shot on Monday.
I have been dreaming of upgrading my camera.

This weekend:
I am location scouting for a future shoot at Mt Tamborine.
I am editing photos and sending off submissions.

I have been busy, but all these photographs that I have to deal with weirdly make me satisfied and happy.

Rest Your Heart

I am glad I have outgrown my childish fear of cemeteries; they hold so much hidden beauty and I have been wanting to photograph in one for some time now. I wanted to demonstrate the beauty and romantic nature of cemeteries - the care that once went into creating graves for loved ones, and how now many are fallen and faded.
